“This is my Father’s world, And to my listening ears. All nature sings, and round me rings. The music of the spheres.” (Hymn, 1901)
Have you heard this hymn recently? It talks about the world being the Lords. He is the One who thought of the world and dreamed of the world. Psalms 24 talks about the people belonging to the Lord.
Belonging. Where do you feel that you belong?
The New Testament talks about the weight of sin and how that can keep us down. For example, it says that if we are slaves to sin- we are bound to that sphere; it is a heavy attachment. But it says that who the Son sets free is free indeed. When we are sons and daughters in the Kingdom of the Father God, we belong to God and are free. Jesus can set us free.
“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Like the hymn; “This is my Father’s World”, Psalm 24 was also a like a song sang by the people.
The earth is the Lord.
Yes, He made the earth!
God is the Creator.
Who may come to the Lord?
Those who come with clean hands
and a pure heart.
Come to the Lord and seek Him.
Come to the King of Glory.
